Have a question about Pingtumi? You’ve come to the right place.

Pingtumi is a mobile push notification broadcast messaging app with group messaging capabilities.

Pingtumi is available in english speaking countries and countries with high english speaking fluency.

Pingtumi is for individuals or organizations wishing to message large groups but don’t necessarily have a direct relationship with the message recipient. Examples include, sports clubs, organizations, personal instructors, event planners, fitness trainers, teachers, conference organizers, tour guides, website owners, newsletter & blog owners, families etc.

Pingtumi is founded and headquartered in Northern California in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Popular chat message apps are primarily focused on person-to-person chat, voice and video calling. Pingtumi’s focus is on broadcast messaging which enables any individual or organization to message large groups simultaneously without the pressure of one-on-one chat. Broadcast messages appear in a separate tab so the message is not lost in a sea of group messages. Message recipients can engage in offline chat with the sender. For those who do not wish to message large groups, Pingtumi can be used as a personal reminder.

Broadcast messaging via text (SMS) requires the broadcaster to aggregate the mobile numbers of the recipients and then sign up with an SMS aggregator who can facilitate the broadcast across multiple cellular networks. This can be a complex and costly process and is generally overkill for individuals or small and medium businesses with limited broadcast needs. In addition, many end users are hesitant to disclose their mobile number for fear that it will be used inappropriately. Pingtumi enables any business, organization or individual to get up and running quickly by simply installing the Pingtumi app and promoting it to their end users. Subscribers can opt in and out of message feeds without revealing their mobile number or email address.

You can use Pingtumi to chat with anyone who is also subscribed to the same channel as you. Your chat messages will be visible to everyone in the channel. If you add your mobile number to your pingtumi account (optional) you can conduct one-on-one chat using the default chat messaging app (e.g. iMessage).

We do not require your mobile number to create an account. You can create an account anonymously or via sign in with Apple or sign in with Google. Your mobile number is tied to your identity and we don’t believe you should have to reveal your identity in order to use Pingtumi.

We do not request access to your contacts nor do we upload them to our servers.

Channels are similar to TV channels. They enable subscribers to subscribe to notifications via topic of interest. Channels are also where you create, schedule and message your subscribers.

Although Pingtumi is primarily focused on broadcast messages, we also enable channel chat which is peer-to-peer group chatting. This feature is made available at the sole discretion of the channel owner.

You cannot be added to a channel without your permission. You can be invited to join a channel but only after you accept the invitation will you receive messages from the channel.

Only the channel owner can see who has subscribed to the channel. The channel owner can also remove subscribers from the channel
Pingtumi does not currently enable the monetization of channels. All features are available for free to you and your subscribers.
To add the Pingtumi widget to your Home Screen, tap here

The widget content will be updated automatically when you send or receive notifications. It usually takes a few seconds. If the widget is appearing in all gray,  it’s possible that your phone is not properly connected to the internet. To test for internet connectivity, try accessing a public web page on Safari.

Pingtumi’s primary focus is broadcast messaging so it does not enable peer-to-peer voice and video communications over the Pingtumi infrastructure. However, if you make your mobile number available to your subscribers via the Pingtumi app, they can use that number to communicate with you directly via their default messaging app such as iMessage.

Pingtumi is currently available for iOS and supports iOS 13 and later.

You can contact us at any time at contact@pingtumi.com. We’re always eager to hear from you and appreciate any suggestions you may have on how we can make Pingtumi better.
